Chase Achuff is a 2016 SS with a 6-0 145 lb. frame from St. Petersburg, FL who attends Osceola HS. Slender young build, lots of room to get stronger. Has smooth actions on defense, stays balanced with very soft and quick hands, gets rid of the ball from multiple angles very quickly, has more arm strength than velocity shows, plays defense with confidence and some flair. Right handed hitter, hand drop load from a high start, open crouched stance, aggressive swing approach, handles the barrel well with quick hands, line drive swing plane, works the middle of the field, lacks the strength to drive the ball but has hitters hands and good barrel accuracy. Skilled player who should continue to improve with additional strength. Very good student.
