Jacob Stanley is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-3 200 lb. frame from Parkland, FL who attends Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a long, strong frame, higher waist and well proportioned with physicality. Ran a 7.66 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out front, full arm action through the back and works to an extended and lower release point, accurate throws, projects with additional lower half. Also pitched, short step back moving into simple delivery, works very quickly and lives down in the zone. Low effort release, topped out at 78 mph from an extended three-quarters arm slot, consistent life down in the zone with sink and running actions. Induces ground ball contact, feel for curveball and changeup developed nicely and threw each for strikes. Changeup shows nice sinking life and present deception, curveball tightened at higher velocity and showed 1-7 shape, has pitchability. Lefthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in the box. Occasionally gets to front side early but when on time able to create separation betweens halves and shows a long and smooth stroke through the zone. Creates extension to swing and shows leverage to path when working to the pull side, has physicality and tools to project.
