Austin Green is a 2020 SS/RHP/C with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Diana, TX who attends New Diana. Medium athletic build with borad shoulders and some physical projection remaining. Two-way prospect. Has good middle of the field athleticism, has quick hands but will get his glove down late and get snatchy, quick feet to the ball, plenty of arm strength. Switch-hitter at the plate, stronger from the left side at present with better balance and bat speed, bigger stride and pronounced hitch occasionally mistimes him from the left side, has the hand quickness to continue to develop as a hitter. May have a higher ceiling on the mound. High 3/4's slot on his fastball, topped out at 88 with plenty of late life, has been up to 90 mph this summer. Slurve type breaking ball from a lower arm slot, gets good spin on it but will need to develop slot consistency. Good student, verbal commitment to Weatherford College.
