Max Crabbe is a 2018 C/1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Irvine, CA who attends Newport Harbor HS. Extra-large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and physical strength proportioned throughout frame. Ran a 7.34 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, receives the ball out front nicely, gains some ground with lower half but gets upper body dominant at release, softer hands, full arm action coming through backside with lower arm slot, accurate throws, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with very wide base and medium hand set in the box. Strong lower half, incorporates well with leg lift trigger which is timed well in swing. Does a nice job of generating extension out front and shows bat speed through the zone, works pull side with comfort and generates nice carry off the barrel when square. Very good student.
