Bryce Melear is a 2019 RHP with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Evans, GA who attends Greenbrier HS. Very slender young build, lots of room to get bigger and stronger. Drop and drive delivery mechanics with a mid 3/4's arm slot, some crossfire at release. Steady mid-80's fastball, topped out at 86 mph, has been up to 89 mph at past PG events. Showed good feel for his breaking ball, worked it between 66 and 72 mph with a sweeping break, best spin at the higher velocities, tended to slow body on his change up. Mixes all his pitches and fills up the strike zone, has the ability to pitch backwards. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia Tech.
