Travis Sands is a 2017 1B with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Johns Creek, GA who attends Johns Creek HS. Extra large and strong young build with room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, deep hand start, moves into contact well from a spread stance, hits from on top of the ball with a long and strong direct path, has present bat speed and the ball comes off the barrel hard, shift and direction/path of swing are ideal, very promising young hitter. Has a good feel for playing first base, gets feet in the right position and has good footwork, lacks present arm strength. Improving athleticism will be key as the bat is going to play. Good student.
