2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase
William Gersky is a 2018 RHP/1B, 3B with a 6-3 215 lb. frame from Woodbury, CT who attends Avon Old Farms. Large, very well built frame with excellent strength throughout body while retaining athleticism. Pitched exclusively from the stretch, shows short and compact delivery, repeats well, shorter arm circle in back but arm is loose and works well. FB worked 77-82 and topped at 83, drives lower half well to the plate and inline with rest of body, throws from high 3/4 slot and generates good plane to play. Attacks hitters with good command of FB and CB, which showed good 11/5 shape and quality bite and depth. Hits with high back elbow, rocks back into load and coils front hip, shows excellent bat speed and extension through contact with very good strength off the barrel. Impressive power in bat. Fielded well both at SS and 1B during drills, stays down on ball well and fields cleanly, gets himself in good position to throw and shows quick release with quality arm strength, topping at 78 across the IF. Good overall athleticism and actions defensively. Named to 2015 Northeast Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
