Mason Adolfs is a 2017 RHP/3B with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Lake Orion, MI who attends Lake Orion Community HS. Big and strong well proportioned athletic build. Works from the stretch with a high leg raise start, medium effort to the plate with good lower half drive, 3/4's arm slot, arm is loose and fast coming through and leaves his hand easily. Upper 70's fastball, topped out at 79 mph, velocity looks higher to the hitter and gets on hitters very quickly for the gun reading, mostly straight. Has a very good feel for spinning the ball and locating his curveball, can shape it and locate according to the count. Stays low in the zone well and had a dominant performance. Can easily see him throwing harder in the spring when his arm strength is built up. Outstanding student.
