Hunter Semmel is a 2017 1B/C, 3B with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Stamford, CT who attends Westhill HS. Extra large frame with long limbs, developing build, still plenty of room to add strength and fill out. Primary first baseman, shows good feel around the bag, has solid footwork and soft hands. Accurate, online throws from lower arm slot. Right handed hitter, high hand set, shifts into contact, can get out in front occasionally. Solid hands, can use the entire field, comfortably peppered middle of the field with line drives. Has power potential with large frame and strength. Very good student.
