Gage Stanifer is a 2022 RHP/1B, OF with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Carmel, IN who attends Westfield. Extra-large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Righthanded pitcher, side step moving into a full hand path, high leg lift up past belt and gets tall on backside; short arm action through the back working to a high three-quarters release point. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, riding life up in the zone and shows running life with some late acceleration at release. Worked around the zone, throws slider with conviction up to 80 mph and creates short, late tilt. Projects well with additional lower half implemented into drive, got some late swings on the fastball. Good student. Verbal commitment to Cincinnati.
