Aaron Zechman is a 2016 RHP/OF with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Middleburg, PA who attends Selinsgrove Area. Medium, athletic build with present strength and some projection remaining with room to add strength. Ran a 7.44 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, shows a long arm action coming through the back side with a high three-quarter release point. Drives off back leg well, fills up the zone with fastball topping 76 mph with nice running life to arm side. Good extension out front and remains balanced throughout. Held velocity well, nice feel for slider and can get it in on hands of left-hander. Works through the ball well from the outfielder, shows strength on throws from a lower slot, gathers well and shows accuracy on throws. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and wide base. Shows nice hitting tools, high leg lift trigger, consistent feel for the barrel from an upper body swing. Line drive swing plane with occasional lift, generates nice bat speed with line drive contact to pull side while showing ability to go to opposite field. Very good student.
