Austin Davis is a 2018 SS/2B, OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Conrad Academy. Medium frame with lean, athletic present build; highly projectable moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 6.56 seconds. Sets up to hit from spread out stance with high back elbow, loads hands deep, shows good hand speed into swing on line drive swing plane. Generates leverage off front side, repeatable mechanics with whole-field approach. Worked out in two spots. Best actions came in the infield; showed good athletic twitch, hands works really well at the ball, footwork is clean as well, good transfer with arm strength up to 83 mph. Also showed well in OF, moves in well and maintains momentum through the ball, arm strength clocked up to 83 mph. Named to 2017 Sunshine East Showcase Top Prospect list, very good student.
