Gage Vailes is a 2019 RHP with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Pope HS. Long projectable build, lots of room to get stronger. Compact delivery, swings his front hip around and gets on line well, arm works well coming through. Fastball topped out at 91 mph early, gets good sink on the fastball down in the zone, tended to lose velocity from the stretch. Showed good feel for his change up with good arm speed and some fading action. Big breaking curveball has good spin, throws his secondary pitches for strikes and can use them with a purpose. Verbal commitment to Kennesaw State.
