Dylan Tanner is a 2019 C/3B with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Foothill Ranch, CA who attends Trabuco Hills. Tanner has large frame with a strong build. He showed good catch and throw tools and was among the showcase leaders in catcher velocity (82 MPH) and pop time (1.85). Tanner showed quick feet and comes out the chute well. He throws with a lower arm slot with carry on his throws. Tanner also showed good receiving skills and blocking skills. At the plate Tanner starts with an upright square stance and a high back elbow at load. He uses a simple leg lift trigger and gets his weight shifted well. Tanner has a naturally leveraged swing plane and shows some juice to the pull side when he squares it up. He drives the ball well and creates good back spin. Good student.
