Owen Puk is a 2021 RHP/1B, IF, OF with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends Marion. Recorded a 7.05 second 60 yard dash time. Tall and high-waisted frame with plenty of room to fill and excellent physical projection. Primary right-handed pitcher with a quick arm and a short and clean arm action, comes from a three-quarters slot. Lands inline with good extension and finish to the plate. Smooth delivery overall, repeats the operation well and shows good command. Flashed a changeup and a 12-6 curveball with good depth, moved the fastball all around the zone. Has plenty of projectable components to be excited about moving forward. Secondary outfielder, has the athleticism and arm strength to play a corner spot, recorded throws at 92 mph. Right-handed hitter with a bent knee stance and hover stride. Smooth hand load with good separation in swing, showed great balance and explosive hands. Crushed line drives to both gaps during his round, at his best when not trying to do too much. Has good jump off the barrel with occasional lift, great showing in BP, intriguing two-way potential. Excellent student. Florida International commit. Named to the 2021 National Pre Draft Showcase Top Prospect List.
