Tyler Blohm is a 2016 LHP/1B with a 6-3 175 lb. frame from Millersville, MD who attends Archbishop Spalding HS. Slender young build, long and lean with lots of room to get stronger. Big hip turn and coil delivery, deep arm action in back getting back up to a high 3/4's arm slot coming through. Mid-80's fastball, mostly straight with good sink down in the zone and to the arm side. Curveball up to 71 mph, best curveball spin at higher velocities, tends to cast curveball early on release, shows big sweeping shape at times. Still developing feel for change up. Lots of projection in the body, should continue to improve. Good student, verbal commitment to Maryland.
