Kaylen Xie is a 2017 C/3B/1B with a 5-9 180 lb. frame from Marietta, GA who attends Walton HS. Compact athletic build with good present strength. Right handed hitter, high hand set with a wrapped barrel start, has some length to start his swing but has a simple direct shift and hand path to the ball, has strong hands and creates bat speed, works the middle of the field with solid line drive contact, has a good idea how to hit and executes it well. 7.54 runner, has quick actions behind the plate, receives the ball smoothly, sound all around mechanics and athleticism, has some arm strength and makes accurate on line throws, 2.03 best pop time. Solid all around player who should keep improving. Excellent student.
