Chris Seymour is a 2018 OF/RHP, MIF with a 6-2 172 lb. frame from Boynton Beach, FL who attends Park Vista Community HS. Tall, lean and athletic frame with room to fill that showed well in all aspects of the event. On the mound he has a waist high leg lift with a slight crouch, coils front side, compact arm circle, quick arm to a 3/4 release, lands online and finishes with extension. Fastball ranged from 85 to 88 miles per hour showed good life, attacked hitters with it, dominated the inside corners, made the hitters look uncomfortable in the box. Primary off-speed was the curveball which he threw at 68 miles per hour with 11/5 arc, slurve action, some horizontal break along with sharp depth, still developing consistency. Changeup at 75 miles per hour with good arm speed that showed sink. In the outfield he threw 86 by generating momentum to the ball with a fast approach, smooth transition, quick arm, carry with accuracy to the bag. At the plate he stands tall with high hands and shows advanced movements that are in sync at the plate, gets weight in to his front leg at heel strike, lower half works up to the ball, makes contact with bat speed and ball jumps off the barrel. Had a really good round of batting practice. Great Student.
