Nathan Gick is a 2017 OF/ with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends East Coweta. Medium frame with long, lanky build; very good projection remaining on body. Ran well, posting a 6.80 seconds 60 yard dash time. Sets up to hit from wide, open-based stance with high hands and a high back elbow. Big leg lift timing mechanism, short and compact stroke with clean hand path through the zone with quickness. Line drive swing plane, solid bat speed produced quality line drives up the middle and to the pull field with consistency. Worked out defensively in the outfield, moves well to the ball and shows quickness/athleticism through actions. Fields cleanly out front, showed improvement in terms of working through the ball and maintaining momentum, gathers well and shows strong, accurate arm on throws back to the infield, clocked up to 83 MPH. Very good student.
