Hayden Dunhurst is a 2019 C/1B/OF with a 5-11 208 lb. frame from Carriere, MS who attends Pearl River Central HS. Strong and physical catcher's build. Has made tremendous strides defensively, showed plus quickness and agility behind the plate, elite level thrower, 1.81 in drills, consistent low 1.9's and accurate in games, really comes out of his crouch well and stays compact with very repeatable and balanced actions. Left handed hitter, hits from a balanced wide base with a loose and extended swing, good bat speed, same very repeatable mechanics he shows on defense as well, ball comes off the barrel hard and he looks to impact it. Impressive performance. Good student, verbal commitment to Mississippi. Selected to play in the 2018 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
