Gavin Hall is a 2019 3B/RHP, 1B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lafayette. Large frame with long limbs and a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Ran a 7.01 sixty-yard dash. Primary third baseman with clean footwork while ranging for and rounding the baseball. Funnels out front and flashed fluid glove actions while working through backhand. Got the baseball out of hand quickly from a three-quarters slot generating accurate carry to the bag at 84 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, even stance and sweeping leg lift trigger. Compact hand path to contact with a linear barrel plane through extension. Flashed good hand speed through the zone with the ability to throw barrel head with aggression. Consistently worked to the middle of the field and pull side gap. Also pitched utilizing a simple rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced on back side and worked to the plate with drop and drive actions. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Generated good downward angle through the zone with a fastball that had some running action as well in the low 80's, topped at 82 miles per hour. Curveball had 12/6 shape with tight, compact spin and late depth when staying on top of offering at finish. Consistently attacked the strike zone and challenged hitters. Good student as well.
