Alex Hutchens is a 2020 SS/2B, 3B with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Altoona, AL who attends Boaz HS. Recorded a 7.52 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with a lean build and room for additional strength. Primary shortstop who fields the ball out in front. Hands work well and throws from a side arm slot. Quick to the ball on either side and makes accurate throws across the diamond. Arm strength recorded up to 74 mph. Righthanded hitter with an inward toe tap into the swing with a downhill swing plane. Longer swing path and works to the middle of the field. Very timed up swing with some barrel ability. Best contact came on the ground or on a line to the middle of the field. Good student.
