AJ Gracia is a 2023 OF/LHP with a 6-3 195 lb. frame from Monroe, NJ who attends Ranney. Extra-large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, present strength with additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.03 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball out to the side, fluid movements in footwork on the approach to the ball, clean and easy release on throws, ball comes out of hand well and projects for more with added physical strength, shows nice accuracy to the intended base. Left-handed hitter, begins with an even base and a medium hand set in the box; rotates through hips and lower half well through swing and incorporates weight shift through lower half well too. Smooth barrel path through the zone with above average bat speed, clean stroke and repeats well, projects very well moving forward. Shows comfort working to the gaps and handled the barrel well in live action with a couple loud at-bats, including a 96 mph exit velo on a line drive single the other way. Excellent student.
