Sean Coffey is a 2023 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Basking Ridge, NJ who attends Ridge. Extra-large, broad shouldered frame with present physical strength and additional room to grow moving forward. Ran a 7.79 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, fields the ball out front with two hands, works on top of throws with a full arm action through the back, big target for fielders to throw to, remains tall throughout actions and can continue to implement additional footwork, shows accuracy on throws with developing carry. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow with a slightly open stance at the plate. Stays short to the ball and incorporates physical strength into swing, works to all fields and shows jump off of the barrel, gets extended out front with a short finish through the ball, worked the gap, has timing components to load and swing.
