Brian Baughman is a 2019 LHP/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Tampa, FL who attends Wharton HS. Recorded a 7.47 second 60-yard dash time. Lean and athletic frame with square shoulders. Primary lefthanded pitcher with a compact and clean arm action. Shows some arm speed through an abbreviated arm circle. Throws with intent and has sharpness to the breaking ball with 2/8 shape and depth. Good angle from an extended three-quarters arm slot and can create downhill plane. Up tempo delivery and can create some arm side life on the fastball. Attacks hitters with the fastball and will utilize the curveball for two strike counts. Deceptive pickoff move and can nail runners at first. Righthanded hitter with a wide base and flashed bat speed. Full, linear swing path with contact to the middle and pull side. High hand set with a high back elbow and can incorporate more lower half for improved power. Good student.
