Matt Morgan is a 2017 OF/MIF with a 6-1 180 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends Lake Highland Prep. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength to frame, has room to still fill out with additional strength. Solid runner, posted a 6.70 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, full and easy arm action coming through the back working to an over the top arm slot, extra step at release, strength to throws and gets on top well with accuracy to the bag. Righthanded hitter at the plate, occasionally gets front foot down early but sound timing at point of contact. Quickness to hands, looks to pull the ball and shows strength coming off the barrel when squared, shorter swing path and does a nice job of getting the barrel through the zone with feel and comfort. Named to Sunshine East Top Prospect List. Very good student.
