Dylan O'Connell is a 2016 LHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Pembroke Pines, FL who attends Charles W Flanagan HS. Medium build, some present strength with room for more. Simple leg lift delivery, loose and fast arm, tends to pull off early to the third base side, extended 3/4's arm slot. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 90 mph, has been up to 92 mph this summer, gets some late running or cutting action depending on location. Slurve type breaking ball, varies the speed and the break with good feel for spinning the ball, tight spin on all versions and gets out with his breaking ball. Can be more consistent in his arm slot and release for better overall command. Good student, verbal commitment to Florida Atlantic.
