Jason Diaz is a 2019 RHP/OF with a 6-2 210 lb. frame from Franklin Square, NY who attends Kellenberg Memorial HS. Big and strong build, pretty mature physically. On line delivery with some energy at release, long and loose arm stroke. Fastball topped out at 93 mph, has very good life at times and can ride it above barrels, ball seems to get on the hitters quickly. Very good change up with lots of fading action and good arm speed, handled left handed hitters very easily with the change up, one of the best change ups at this event. Flashed a short breaking slider to right handed hitters. Big arm with a feel for pitching. Good student, verbal commitment to Miami.
