Matthew Furlong is a 2016 RHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Howell, NJ who attends Howell. Furlong has an athletic build with a lean frame that can add strength. Over the top arm slot with a long lose arm action. Good arm speed and whip coming through. Stays online through release then falls hard to glove side. Repeated delivery well and command bot his fastball and a hard biting curveball with 12/6 spin. Has tools to develop, velocity projects with added strength. Only hit in the game but showed good hitting tools, including good bat speed and hands. Had feel for barrel with a line drive approach. Stays on ball and would go other way. Outstanding Student.
