Blake Mayfield is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus HS. Slender athletic build, loose actions, very projectable physically. Flexible leg raise delivery, bit cross body on landing from the windup, more so from the stretch, 3/4's arm slot, arm is fast and clean coming through. Fastball topped out at 92 mph, mostly straight, showed the ability to spot the fastball glove side. Curveball gets hard spin and good depth when he stays on top of it, will occasionally drop the arm slot a bit on his curveball on release. Should continue to improve in all areas as he gets more physically mature. Good student, verbal commitment to Texas A&M.
