Rafael Escandar is a 2018 RHP with a 6-5 235 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Doral Academy Charter. Extra big and strong build. Long and loose arm action, 3/4's arm slot, front hip tends to open early with an open landing out front. Fastball topped out at 87 mph early, worked mostly in the low to mid-80's, gets some running action on his fastball. Curveball has good spin and occasional sharp biting action and depth. Has the tools to continue to improve with lower half adjustments in his delivery.
