Joshua Rooker is a 2017 C with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Eads, TN who attends Evangelical Christian HS. Medium athletic build, has good present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, comfortable set up with a simple load and short stride, direct and short line drive swing with a good swing plane and angle to the ball, repeats his mechanics and timing well, solid mid field contact, high average approach with some future gap power potential. High energy receiver behind the plate, blocks well and is always moving, receives the ball well, needs to improve footwork throwing for better arm strength and accuracy, 2.09 best pop time. Sound young player with energy who should keep improving. Good student.
