Hunter Townsend is a 2015 RHP/OF/1B with a 6-3 160 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Pinnacle HS. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to fill out with added strength. Strong runner, posted a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, throwing from a three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action in the back. Stays tall on backside, hides the ball well in the back, comes out cleanly with extension out front and does a nice job getting on top of the ball. Some downhill plane on fastball, fills up the strike zone, topped out at 80 mph with occasional cut. Curveball shows short 11-5 break with tight spin, changeup has spin and fade to arm side at 73 mph. Right-handed hitter, starts with a slightly closed stance. Keeps hands in well, short path to the ball with ability to hit to all fields. Good student.
