Dallas Backer is a 2016 2B/RHP with a 6-0 154 lb. frame from Bandera, TX who attends Bandera HS. Slender athletic build, lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, high hands in his load, quick long aggressive stride into contact, gets hands and arms extended through the ball, will get long and hit around the ball at times, looking to pull the ball, aggressive hitter who will attack early in the count, should continue to improve with additional strength. 7.15 runner, showed good defensive actions at second base, light on his feet with good lower half life and flexibility, shows a good first step and lateral range, low quick release, defense is his best present tool. Also pitched, works from the stretch, big extended wrap in back, arm works well coming through, has some energy at release, high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball to 78 mph, mixed in decent curveball with occasional depth.
