Cameron Tanseco is a 2007 RHP with a 6'4'', 205 lb. frame from Los Alamitos CA, who attends Los Alamitos HS. Selected as a Top Prospect at this event. Tanseco has a long, lean, strong body type that can be easily classified as as plus body. He looks the way most scouts would like to see a pitcher look. He pitches from a 3/4 slot with a long, clean arm action. His has good arm speed and his arm works with easy effort. Tanseco has good body control, but does open a bit early, sapping some velocity. His fastball sat in the upper 87-89 range, topping at 89. He gets good sink on that pitch and it comes pretty late. His change-up was an effective pitch and he showed the ability to throw it to RH hitters. Had he thrown any breaking balls in the game he likely would have been ranked in the top ten of this event. He did throw some in the bullpen, viewed from quite a distance. It looked pretty good, but that is only speculation. Tanseco held runners well too. He is a solid student and has quite a bit of upside remaining. He can be accurately called a projection right-hander.
