Felix Javier Hernandez Mercado is a 2014 OF with a 6-3 190 lb. frame from Naranjito, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Academy. Tall strong athletic build, mature look. Very good runner for his size, 6.74 in the sixty, has run as 6.51 in the past, accurate arm with good arm strength from the outfield. Right handed hitter, square high hand stance, has strength in his swing and bat speed, has lift and extension out front, ball jumps well when squared, stays balanced. Young and developing overall actions but has the strength and speed to really keep improving. Very good student.
