Daniel Cabrera is a 2017 OF/LHP with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from River Ridge, LA who attends John Curtis Christian HS. Medium athletic build, has good present strength, fairly mature physically. Left handed hitter, very polished approach, deep hand load with a good shift into contact, gets his hips coiled and loaded, very good feel for the barrel, has quick and loose hands, squares the ball up with consistent line drive pull contact, ball gets surprising carry with backspin when lifted. 7.09 runner, fields the ball cleanly out front, left field arm strength, makes soft accurate throws. Also pitched, strike thrower with a mid-80's fastball and big curveball. Good student, verbal commitment to Louisiana State.
