Jeremie Gonzalez is a 2013 OF/BHP with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Florida, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Lean and projectable young build. 6.88 runner, very sound outfield actions, good arm strength with accurate on line throws. Switch hitter, short quick swing from the right side, square line drive contact to the middle of the field, simple repeatable swing mechanics. Swing tends to be longer from the left side, stays on backside and looks to pull and lift. Primary left handed pitcher but threw from both sides in the game. Fastball up to 83 mph from the left side from a long loose arm action and low 3/4's release, cross body mechanics, good running action on the fastball, soft sweeping slurve type breaking ball. Similar mechanics from the right side, topped out at 75 mph. Versatile athlete who should keep improving. Good student.
