Giovany Lorenzo is a 2017 C/3B with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Fort Myers, FL who attends Canterbury HS. Strong compact build, pretty mature physically. Shows quick actions and one spot athleticism behind the plate defensively, very good arm strength with on line carry, has soft hands receiving the ball and handled low 90's velocity with no problem, showed energy and leadership abilities as well. Switch hitter, hits from an open bent knee stance from both sides of the plate, seems a bit more comfortable and better timed from the left side but similar bat speed and approach, upper body dominant arm swing, short enough to the ball, looks to pull and has some strength and lift pulling.
