Andy Karlan is a 2015 C/SS with a 6-0 184 lb. frame from Larchmont, NY who attends Mamaroneck HS. Medium, strongly built frame with solid athleticism. Looks the part behind the plate. Ran a 5.28 40 yard dash. Has a short arm action and gets the ball out very quickly behind the plate. Stays on top and makes accurate throws. Blocks the ball well and shows off sound receiving actions. Bats right-handed, works from an open setup and has a short swing path. Shows good bat speed and life off his barrel. Hits the ball hard to his pull side. Line drive swing path. Good student.
