Austin Bergner is a 2016 RHP/SS/OF with a 6-4 180 lb. frame from Windermere, FL who attends West Orange HS. Tall and slender athletic build, very projectable physically. Only threw 4-5 pitches due to an ill-timed rain storm, fastball 92-93 mph with life, curveball had power spin and good sharpness. Throws easy with a long and loose arm action. Very athletic middle infielder who would be a top prospect shortstop if not for his pitching ability, has very soft hands and some flash and flair to his actions, quick feet for his size with 7.11 speed, lower arm slot than when on the mound, true shortstop actions. Right handed hitter, hits from a still start that affects his timing, long swing with an early front side, spray line drive contact, defense ahead of his offense at this point but not especially pertinent in the long run due to his high ceiling pitching potential. Excellent student.
