2012 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Michael Hillcoat is a 2013 2B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Henderson, NV who attends Green Valley HS. Compact build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, very open stance, never closes, hunts the inside half of the plate, singular approach, has bat speed, pulls the ball hard, some lift in his swing, reaches on anything outside, has hitting tools but will have to make adjustments at the next level. Good footwork defensively, soft hands, quick release around the bag, arm playable for second base. Good student.
