2003 South Underclass Showcase
Jarka was one of the smallest players in the showcase and also one of the best pound for pound infielders there. He made all sorts of plays and got to some of the toughest hit balls in the event. He had a hand in more plays than anyone at the showcase and we did not record an error on him once. His energy is outstanding and the life he showed in his lower half both in the field and at the plate was evident to all our scouts. He runs much better than his 60 time translates because of his strides and his feet are very quick in the infield. He throws well enough to play 2B every day at the next level and he has improved since we have seen him last. He can swing the wood and shortens up appropriately against good pitching. His swing works for him and he threw the bat-head at the ball and drove the middle of the field well. He is an exciting player to watch and one that clearly loves the game. He can and will play at the next level.
