Brandon Reitz is a 2016 RHP/MIF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Trinity Catholic HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength and plenty of room for more. Uses his lower half very well in his delivery, some cross body on release creates angle from a 3/4's arm slot, long stride out front, arm is quick and loose coming through. Upper 80's fastball, topped out at 89 mph, mostly straight with occasional cutting action glove side. Big sweeping slider can miss barrels, good spin and biting action, tends to lengthen arm action on slider and tip a bit but a solid pitch to build off of. Projectable young pitcher who should keep improving with physical maturity. Very good student, verbal commitment to Florida State.
