Chad Smith is a 2015 OF/LHP/1B with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from Snellville, GA who attends South Gwinnett HS. Strong well proportioned athletic build. 6.56 runner, athletic actions in the outfield, works through the ball well, long loose arm action with good arm strength, projectable arm. Left handed hitter, loose quick swing with good extension out front, good raw bat speed, tends to get too inside the ball at times, best bat speed and contact when the barrel gets out, ball comes off the barrel hard when squared, line drive plane with occasional lift. Very projectable player with some big tools. Good student, verbal commitment to Georgia.
