Alec Rodriguez is a 2014 OF/RHP/2B with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from Santa Fe Springs, CA who attends St John Bosco HS. Small, slender build, developing strength. 7.21 runner, good actions to the ball, fields easily, limited present arm strength, can improve throwing mechanics. Similar skills at second base. Right handed hitter, sound swing fundamentals, short contact swing, stays inside the ball, hits to all fields, tends to dive into the ball on occasion, will improve with additional strength. Also pitched, slow paced delivery, gets back turned, cross body release, throws strikes with 71 mph fastball, big slow curveball, makes hitters swing the bat. Good student.
