Yodice is a physically strong 6-2, 190 lb left handed hitting catcher. He takes a full cut at the plate and flashes some good power potential when he makes contact but is going to have to develop some sort of load and timing mechanism, along with some looseness in his hands, before he’s going to hit the ball hard against the very best pitching. Yodice showed good arm strength in the infield drills with 78 mph velocity and pop times in the 2.15- 2.20 range. He’s a very good student who has signed to play at Florida Atlantic University. His power potential to all fields, strong arm, good body and athletic ability are all very interesting.
