Michael Wild -- Wild is a 6-2 junior right handed pitcher from Texas with a slim upper half and good strength to his hips and thighs. He showed us a very strong feel for pitching and threw 5 innings because he kept his pitch counts down and got quick outs. Wild threw his fastball 80-82 mph from a standard ¾’s release but would occasionally drop down to side arm with the same velocity and command to give hitters a different look. Wild’s curveball was a quality pitch at 68 mph with good depth and tilt to it and he threw it for strikes frequently early in counts. He also threw a 69-71 mph change up. This young man can really pitch and could be very successful at the next level if he can add just a little more velocity. Michael is a good runner with an athletic type body and he shows hitting potential. He's a very good student.
