Matthew Sherman -- Sherman is a lean 5-10, 145 lb senior right handed pitcher. He throws from a high ¾’s arm slot and throws across his body a little bit. Sherman’s fastball was 78-81 mph. His best pitch was a 70-71 mph curveball that had a sweeping break with some 2-plane action. Sherman was able to throw both the FB and CB for strikes at all points in the count. He also threw a 62 mph knuckleball as a change up. Sherman was always around the plate and changing location and speeds. He can pitch and is getting the most out of natural tools. He will get stronger at the next level and throw harder. Matthew is a good student.
