Karl Fultz: Fultz is a mature bodied 5-11, 180 lb. infielder with some interesting tools, especially his arm strength. He took a good batting practice and showed a nice, level swing with some bat speed. During games Fultz tended to pull off the ball with his front side but overall we liked what we saw from his offense. Defensively, Fultz’s actions and quickness profile him to third base, where he will have plenty of arm strength for the position. What intrigued us the most was the inning of mop up relief that Fultz threw at the end of one game. He was 85-86 mph with a quick, easy working arm stroke and a 68 mph curveball. Fultz worked quickly, confidently and aggressively. He might have future on the mound at the college level if his bat and other tools don't get him in the every day line up.
